Mayama was a salaryman on the fast track to success at the company headquarters, but after getting caught up in internal trouble, he is demoted and transferred to a branch office. His new boss, Nakatani, appears to be a dull, unremarkable man who only became a section manager through years of service despite his lackluster appearance. Seeking a change of pace, Mayama visits a gay bar where he meets Nakatani.
